The recalled product is Oceans Kitchen Imitation Crabmeat Shredded made from wild fish. It comes in 2.5-pound vacuum-sealed bags. The UPC is 1 90456 75654 2, and it is not for retail sales.
The product poses a risk of contamination with Clostridium botulinum, a bacteria that can cause serious illness. Temperature abuse during chilled storage may have allowed the bacteria to grow.
